The Quick Fix – Reseat the Drive and Power Cycle
- Shut down your NAS properly. Don't just pull the plug. Use the software shutdown or press the power button until it turns off. Wait 30 seconds.
- Remove the drive showing the failed light. Note which bay it is. Gently slide out the tray.
